1] A boost to small farmers and growers

United Western Business Forum intends to create a link between small and medium agriculturists in the state and to make the markets accessible to them. Agriculture produces sales; especially fruits like mango and grapes will be given priority and United Western Business Forum aims at making selling an easy process for the growers.
Some plans for farmers:
a) To have mango stalls during the mango season at the Hinjewadi IT hub, thus making it easy for the software professionals to purchase genuine and organically grown Konkan mangoes at reasonable prices. This will ensure markets for the farmers too.
b) A similar plan is in place for the grape growers of Sangli and Nashik. They will be given a platform to sell their produce straight to the consumer; thus ensuring benefits for the buyers and sellers both.
2] Promoting Agro-tourism

Pockets of agro-tourism will be developed in the Konkan region. There is a plan in place to connect the IT software professionals and the medium and small mango orchard owners in Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts of Maharashtra. The landowners have ample land that can be utilized for this purpose. This will be done with an aim to promote agro-tourism. This will certainly give a fillip to the Agro Tourism industry in the state. Also, apart from ensuring a continuous business for the orchard owners, this scheme also plans to make the IT professionals stakeholders in this business. This model will ensure financial stability and growth for the business owners.
3] Promoting Milk and Dairy Business

United Western Business Forum plans to bring together milk producers, small and medium dairies, small milk vendors and connect them with buyers. This will be done in association with civic bodies like PMC and PCMC. About 250 entrepreneurs will be directly benefitted from this exercise. Nearly 75,000 litres of milk will be transacted on a daily basis. Also, an effort will be made to set up coffee outlets on the lines of Café Coffee Day and such coffee chains in order to promote the milk business in the state. There is a plan in place to set up about 150 coffee shops. The milk will be sourced from the vendors in the network of the United Western Business Forum for this purpose.
4] Housing

United Western Business Forum intends to bring together small builders who don’t have such a large brand status. United Western Business Forum aims to create an alliance between them and to help them with marketing; both online and offline in the form of advertising support, brochures, hoardings, exhibitions, etc. We wish to offer them financial assistance and shall give them exposure too. Small builders will benefit from this. The expenditure will be divided among the number of participants for each initiative.
5] Training and Development

United Western Business Forum is a unique platform where services like training and skill development of small, medium and large companies will be carried out. This is with an aim to promote entrepreneurship, to enhance work performance and to build a healthy work culture. This is a good opportunity for the members of the United Western Business Forum to develop their work-related expertise and skills.
6] Sustainable Solar Power Plants

Satara, Sangli and Solapur districts have Mann Khatau and Jat talukas and these areas are geographically plateau regions. Thousands of acres of fallow dry land in these regions will thus be productively utilized with the farmers’ cooperation by installing solar power projects here. Public and cooperative banks and some big companies will be approached to enable this vision of creating sustainable and green power solutions.
As a result, the impact on existing hydropower plants will be minimized and adjoining areas will have enough water. This will be an environmentally sustainable source of energy in Maharashtra.
7] Role in upgrading Manufacturing Units

Pune and Raigad districts have existing plants. However, they are either unproductive or are lying idle due to many reasons. UWBF is planning to create a single-window system for technical support i.e. sanctioning, government body related work, designing a factory, government compliances, civil work, liaisoning, etc under its umbrella. This will lead to time-bound setting up of windows, good efficiency, and a single-window system where all procedures will be coordinated from one source.
8] For small and medium businesses

This platform is ideal for SMSEs too. UWBF will strive to update small and medium enterprises. They all need to do skill development, technical support, and up-gradation. We need to update them and bring them to a higher level. They might also need financial support and United Western Business Forum will try to arrange for financers for them. Also, a dialogue with large corporate will be struck via speeches and motivational sessions from Management Gurus and successful business leaders.
9] Publishing success stories of big business groups

United Western Business Forum has solid plans to bring to light the success stories of large business groups in the form of coffee table books, magazines, and other publications. These will not only make for glorious reading but will motivate entrepreneurs from Maharashtra to learn valuable things from the journeys of other entrepreneurs. For instance, a book on the journey of the Tata group is already in the pipeline. These publications will be in Marathi. To capture the new media wave, UBF will also look forward to producing films and documentaries that will further increase the distribution of the stories of these great achievers.
